GH1015 20% Cr High Temperature Alloy is an iron-nickel-based solid-solution strengthened high-temperature alloy with 20% Cr (chromium) as its core component. This alloy was designed to bridge the performance gap between ordinary stainless steel and expensive cobalt-based alloys, providing excellent oxidation resistance and moderate creep strength in high-temperature environments ranging from 700°C to 900°C. GH1015 is a typical solid-solution strengthened alloy; the atomic radii of tungsten and molybdenum are significantly larger than those of iron and nickel. When they enter the matrix lattice, they generate significant elastic stress fields. These stress fields effectively hinder dislocation movement, thereby increasing the high-temperature strength of the alloy without sacrificing ductility.
