N4 high-purity pure nickel ingot exhibits excellent resistance in strong alkaline, neutral solutions, and various organic compounds. Particularly in reducing acid environments, it forms an extremely dense passivation film. At high temperatures, its low carbon content ensures that intergranular carbide formation does not occur, maintaining the stability of the metal structure. In the production of high-purity caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) and pharmaceuticals that are extremely sensitive to metal ion contamination, reactors and evaporators must be made of N4 grade pure nickel. This ensures that no iron, copper, or sulfur elements are introduced into the product under highly corrosive conditions.
